The Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series from the Royal Canadian Mint features four different metallic versions. Each of the coins was a trendsetter in its own right, with the Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins representing the first-ever .9999 pure silver bullion coin available to investors.
Highlights:
Provident Metals offers these 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coins to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in this series will ship individually with protective plastic flips. For purchases of 25 coins, you will receive the coins inside of tubes. Multiples of 500 are available inside of Monster Boxes that house a total of 20 tubes with 25 coins each.
Obverse
The obverse face of the 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coin includes a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Throughout her reign, the Queen has been depicted in right-profile relief on British, Canadian, Australian, and other Commonwealth coinage portraits. This is the fourth-generation Canadian portrait and was designed by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt in 2003. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include “Elizabeth II,” “5 Dollars,” and “2021.”
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins, you will find the iconic sugar maple leaf. This design captures one of the most prominent tree species in North America. The sugar maple leaf is found throughout Canada and the leaf of this tree has been a symbol of the nation dating back to some of the earliest European settlements in the region. Inscriptions on this side read “Canada,” “9999,” and “Fine Silver 1 oz Argent Pur.”
History
The background field of both sides of the coins have radial lines, while the reverse has a micro-engraved laser privy mark. This maple leaf privy mark has the date mark “21” visible under magnification. Other versions of the Canadian Maple Leaf Coins include the gold coin, platinum coin, and palladium coin. The gold coin was introduced first in 1979, followed by the silver and platinum coins in 1988. The palladium coin debuted in 2005.
