Product Details

At BullionMax, we commemorate the historic D-Day landings of June 6, 1944, with pride. Operation Neptune, part of the monumental Operation Overlord during World War II, aimed to liberate German-occupied Western Europe. As we mark the 80th anniversary of this pivotal moment, we present the Eisenhower Dollar 80th Anniversary D-Day Legal Tender Coins.

Coin Highlights:

  • Includes a capsule and a Certificate of Authenticity!
  • Pays tribute to the 80th anniversary of D-Day!
  • Features a colorized reverse Eisenhower Dollar design!
  • Backed by the US government with a face value of $1 (USD).
  • On the obverse, President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s bust graces the coin.
  • For the reverse, you’ll find a striking colorized depiction of American troops on D-Day.

The Allied forces landed on five beaches along the Normandy coast, which were codenamed Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. Each beach was assigned to a specific Allied force: Utah and Omaha to American troops, Gold and Sword to British forces, and Juno to Canadian troops.

Every Eisenhower Dollar 80th Anniversary D-Day Legal Tender Coin at BullionMax comes secured in a protective plastic capsule, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the Merrick Mint. The reverse design features a vibrant portrayal of American forces in a Higgins Landing Craft.

The obverse of the Eisenhower Dollar 80th Anniversary D-Day Coin showcases a portrait of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a poignant tribute to both his pivotal role as the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe during the invasion and his two-term presidency in the 1950s.

Turn the Eisenhower Dollar 80th Anniversary D-Day Legal Tender Coin over, and you’ll witness a dynamic colorized scene of a Higgins Landing Craft carrying American troops toward the shores of Normandy, France.
