On the obverse of the SilverTowne Buffalo Copper Round is a right-facing portrait of an Indigenous American inspired by Fraser’s original Buffalo Nickel design. The inscription “Liberty” appears just beyond the facial profile, while the familiar SilverTowne pickaxe mint mark is located near the lower end of the braid along the right side of the portrait.

The reverse of the 5 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Copper Round features the American bison, the largest land mammal native to North America. The bison served as an important source of food, clothing, and materials for many Indigenous communities throughout the Great Plains.
