The 2024 1 oz EC8 Silver Grenada Shark Diver Coin features a new design focused on Grenada’s marine ecosystem and is now available at BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
The obverse of the 2024 1 oz EC8 Silver Shark Diver Coin includes the logo of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. This emblem features the initials “ECCB” in the center, flanked by laurel branches on either side. Additional details like the weight, purity, and denomination of the coin are also shown on this side.
On the reverse, the coin depicts a diver surrounded by several sharks in open water. Grenada’s waters are home to a wide range of shark species, most notably the Caribbean reef shark. These sharks are commonly seen near the island’s reefs and can grow up to eight feet long. They are important for keeping the reef ecosystem in balance.
Grenada is known for its excellent diving spots, earning it the nickname “Wreck Diving Capital of the Eastern Caribbean.” One of its most famous sites is the Bianca C, a 600-foot-long Italian cruise ship that sank in 1961. Resting more than 100 feet below the surface, this site attracts experienced divers from around the world.
