Coin Highlights:
The Lunar Series is a beloved annual BU coin collection. Launched in 1996 for the Year of the Rat, it initially featured only gold coins, with silver coins joining the lineup in 1999. The Year of the Rat reappeared in 2008, marking the start of Lunar Series II, and Lunar Series III began in 2020.
The obverse of the 2024 1 Kilo Colorized Australian Lunar Dragon Coin features Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark. Her right-profile relief is surrounded by inscriptions noting the coin’s face value, purity, and country of issue.
On the reverse side of the 2024 Colorized Australian Silver Lunar Dragon Coin, a vividly colored dragon breathes fire toward the viewer, accompanied by a flaming pearl. Inscriptions are placed below the dragon.
Each 2024 1 Kilo Colorized Australian Silver Lunar Dragon Coin comes in a protective capsule to ensure its BU condition is maintained during shipping. This is the 5th release in Lunar Series III and the second-largest coin in this series.
