The obverse of all 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins includes the timeless Walking Liberty design. Created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, this design was originally featured on the US Half Dollar. The full-length depiction shows Lady Liberty in left-profile relief, draped in the American flag, walking toward the rising sun with her right hand extended and her left holding branches of oak and laurel.

On the reverse, each of the American Silver Eagles in this collection features a depiction of the American bald eagle. Coins dated 1986 to 2021 showcase the heraldic eagle design by John Mercanti, while coins from 2021 to 2025 feature Emily Damstra’s modernized design of a soaring bald eagle. As 2021 marked the transition between designs, this set includes two distinct coins from that year.

The redesign of the reverse field was part of the Silver Eagle’s 35th-anniversary celebration in 2021. Under U.S. law, the Secretary of the Treasury can approve a redesign only once every 25 years, which allowed the Silver Eagle to evolve while honoring its original legacy.

Each coin in these 1986-2025 American Silver Eagle 41-Coin Sets is certified in Mint State 69 condition by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Coins with this grade boast full, original mint luster and may exhibit up to two minor flaws, such as tiny contact marks or faint hairlines, found outside the primary focal areas.
