Each 1927-D Peace Silver Dollar Coin offered here is graded Mint State 62 and comes safely secured in a plastic slab. Coins in this condition typically have a soft or muted mint luster with scattered small marks and a few larger ones in key areas. Light hairlines may also be visible throughout the design.

This series features a modern look at Liberty, designed by sculptor Anthony de Francisci. Moving away from older, more reserved versions of Liberty, de Francisci created a bold and youthful profile based on his wife, Teresa. Her windswept hair and a crown of rays give the design a hopeful tone, capturing the spirit of a country looking ahead after the war.

On the obverse side of the 1927-D Peace Dollar, you’ll see this portrait of Lady Liberty in left-profile relief. Her loose hair flows behind her, and she wears a radiant crown that draws comparisons to the Statue of Liberty’s headpiece.

The reverse side of the coin displays a calm yet powerful bald eagle. In this image by de Francisci, the eagle rests on a rocky perch while holding an olive branch in its talons. The background shows the sun rising on the horizon, adding to the peaceful message behind the design.
