In 1884, Morgan Dollars were minted at several locations, including the Philadelphia, Carson City, New Orleans, and San Francisco Mints. The New Orleans Mint struck an impressive 9.73 million coins, while the Philadelphia Mint led with 14.07 million coins produced. The San Francisco and Carson City Mints contributed 3.2 million and 1.136 million coins, respectively.

On the reverse, the 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar displays the heraldic eagle, depicted without a national shield. The eagle is shown facing forward with its wings spread wide, holding both arrows of war and an olive branch, symbolizing peace.
