On the obverse side of the 2023 American Platinum Eagle Coin, you will find the bust of the Statue of Liberty. Her face is captured here in a design from John Mercanti that was created in 1997 for the debut of the Platinum Eagle Series. The reverse field of the 2023 1 oz Platinum Eagle Coin comes with a depiction of the American bald eagle. In this classic design from Thomas D. Rogers, the eagle glides through the air above the rising sun on the horizon.
