The $10 Indian Gold Eagle was introduced by the United States Mint in the early 1900s as a new design to replace older Liberty imagery. Despite the name, the coin actually shows Liberty wearing a Native American-style feathered headdress. The coin was not issued every year and has become a sought-after piece for collectors. Right now, you can order Pre-33 $10 Indian Gold Eagle Coins online from BullionMax, each certified by either the PCGS or NGC.
Coin Highlights:
Each $10 Indian Gold Eagle offered here is graded Mint State 63 by either PCGS or NGC. MS63 coins show moderate mint luster, with a number of small contact marks and possibly a few heavier ones. You may also see some hairlines, which can usually be seen without the help of magnification.
These coins are certified, but BullionMax cannot guarantee a specific date or whether your coin will have a PCGS or NGC label. The Indian Gold Eagle was struck every year from 1907 to 1916, then only in certain years until 1933, when the U.S. stopped producing gold coins. Your coin will be chosen at random once your order is processed.
The obverse of the $10 Indian Gold Eagle shows Liberty facing left. She is wearing a Native American-style headdress, and 13 stars appear above her head. The date is located just below her portrait.
On the reverse side, you’ll find an American bald eagle standing on a bundle of arrows wrapped with an olive branch. Coins dated 1907 and early 1908 do not have the national motto. All coins from later in 1908 through 1933 feature the motto “In God We Trust.” The artist behind both sides of the coin is Augustus Saint-Gaudens, also known for designing the $20 Gold Double Eagle.
