Introducing the breathtaking 2024 Somalia Elephant Gold Coin! Joining the renowned Somalia Elephant Series, this latest release showcases a captivating new reverse design that offers a glimpse into the world of African elephant herds, featuring intense battles between majestic male bulls. At BullionMax, we are thrilled to bring you the opportunity to own the 2024 1 oz Somalia Gold Elephant Coin.

Coin Highlights:

  • Each coin is securely housed in individual plastic capsules for added protection!
  • Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series as the Somalia Gold Elephant and the 21st overall issue!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition.
  • Carries a face value of 1,000 Somali Shillings.
  • The obverse showcases the national coat of arms.
  • The reverse features a captivating depiction of two powerful bull elephants locked in fierce combat.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the Somalia Gold Elephant coins and the 21st year since the series’ inception in 2004, this coin holds a special place in the hearts of collectors. It’s worth noting that before 2004, the series was known as the Zambia Elephant and had a successful five-year run. Produced by the prestigious Bavarian State Mint, these coins underwent a transformation in reverse designs, with the nation of issue being the only change between 2003 and 2004.

The reverse design has consistently showcased the awe-inspiring African bush elephants. One of the most remarkable features of the African bush elephant is its trunk. This elongated, muscular appendage is a fusion of its upper lip and nose and serves various purposes, such as lifting heavy objects, gathering food, drinking water, and communicating with other elephants.

Flipping to the obverse, you’ll find the national coat of arms of Somalia, a symbol of pride and unity for the nation. The design features a crowned shield adorned with simple horizontal lines in the background, complemented by a single star at the center. Adding to the regal feel, the shield is supported on each side by a powerful leopard.

Now, let’s turn our attention back to the reverse, where the 2024 Somalia Gold Elephant Coin exhibits an enthralling scene of two male elephants engaged in a head-on clash. One elephant charges forward, flapping its ears, and raising its trunk and tusks in an incredible display of strength and dominance.

When you acquire the 2024 1 oz Somalia Gold Elephant Coin from BullionMax, you’ll be adding a remarkable piece to your collection. Each coin is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes in its individual plastic capsule for optimal preservation.
