The Arizona Goldback Series brings Goldbacks to the American Southwest with artwork inspired by Arizona’s long history—from early Spanish routes and Mexico’s independence to statehood in the United States. Now, 10 Arizona Goldback Gold Notes are available online at BullionMax.
Note Highlights:
On the 10 Arizona Goldback, the artwork features Virtus riding alongside members of the U.S. Army’s 10th Cavalry, also known as the Buffalo Soldiers. The 10th Cavalry Regiment—formed with African American enlisted men and white officers—served at Fort Huachuca from the 1910s through 1933. During that time, the unit patrolled the Mexican border amid the unrest of the revolution and joined the pursuit of Pancho Villa. Despite segregation and unfair treatment off post, these soldiers built strong service records and earned commendations for discipline, riding skill, and bravery in the field.
Fort Huachuca was established in 1877 in the grasslands near the Huachuca Mountains of southeastern Arizona. Created to help protect settlers during the final Apache conflicts, it later served as a base for operations against Geronimo. Its location close to the border kept it relevant after the Apache wars, and the post evolved over the decades from a cavalry station into a center for training and military intelligence.
These 10 Arizona Goldback Gold Notes come in individual currency sleeves for simple handling and storage. As with a few other denominations, the 10 Goldback is one of the original values offered across the different state-focused Goldback collections, making it a familiar choice for those building a set.
