Goldbacks have reached the American Southwest with the launch of the Arizona Goldback Series. This collection showcases artwork tied to Arizona’s deep history, from Spanish exploration and Mexican independence to the territory’s path into the United States. Today, BullionMax offers 1 oz Arizona Goldback Gold Notes in convenient 100-note packs.
Note Highlights:
Mission San José de Tumacácori is the focal point of the design on the 1 Arizona Goldback. Today, this historic site is preserved as Tumacácori National Historical Park. The preserved ruins and adobe walls give visitors a clear view of the area’s layered past, where European settlement efforts met long-standing indigenous traditions.
All 1 Arizona Goldback Gold Note 100 Packs arrive with each note individually protected in a currency sleeve and bundled together with a black band. This listing is only for 100-note packs for bulk purchase. The 1 oz Arizona Goldback honors Arizona’s early 19th-century history, a time when the region came under Mexican control after independence from Spain in 1821.
The design of the 1 Arizona Goldback Gold Note shows a woman in early 19th-century Mexican attire standing before Mission San José de Tumacácori. Founded in 1691 by Father Kino in the Santa Cruz River Valley, the mission is one of Arizona’s oldest European settlements and part of a chain of Spanish missions that once extended north from Mexico. Noted for its adobe construction and distinctive dome, the site went through several building phases before being abandoned in the 1840s during a period of Apache raids and post-independence instability.
