The Tower Mint’s yearly Pitcairn Islands HMS Bounty Series returns for 2026 with a special privy mark on the obverse. To honor what would have been the 100th birthday of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, each coin in this 2026 release includes a QEII 100 privy mark. On every issue in the series, the privy mark appears to the right of the portrait of His Majesty King Charles III. Right now, 2026 1 oz Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coins are available from BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
The story of the HMS Bounty is one of the best-known moments in naval history. In 1789, what began as a breadfruit transport mission turned into a dramatic mutiny that has been discussed for generations. After the uprising, Captain William Bligh and 18 loyal crewmen were set adrift and later completed a roughly 3,600-mile journey in an open boat—an incredible display of navigation and endurance. Even so, Bligh’s reputation has often been shaped by harsh portrayals of his leadership, whether accurate or not.
All 2026 1 oz Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coins offered here are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. You can purchase single coins housed in plastic flips, or choose multiples of 100 coins packaged together in a box.
On the obverse of 2026 Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coins is a left-facing portrait of King Charles III. This first-generation effigy was created by Glyn Davies and depicts the monarch without a crown. Also featured on this side is the QEII 100 privy mark, recognizing the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth.
On the reverse of 2026 1 oz Silver Bounty Coins is a detailed image of the HMS Bounty at sea. The vessel’s legacy is tied to Fletcher Christian and the mutineers who sailed to remote Pitcairn Island, where they ultimately burned the ship and formed a settlement. The group remained unknown to the outside world for 18 years, and descendants of those settlers still live on the island today. The Bounty story continues to inspire books, films, and ongoing discussion about leadership, fairness, and authority.
