The Austrian Mint introduced the Austrian Philharmonic bullion series in 1989. Offered in gold, silver, and platinum, the lineup gives buyers several options, with the gold coins covering the most weight choices. Over time, this program has become one of Europe’s most recognizable bullion designs. Today, 2026 1 oz Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins are available at BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
The Silver Philharmonic’s artwork takes its cues from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and its famous home in Vienna. The Musikverein is one of the city’s best-known concert halls, located in the Innere Stadt district. Completed in 1870 by architect Theophil Hansen in a neoclassical style, the venue is known for the Golden Hall (Großer Musikvereinssaal), which is celebrated for clear acoustics and detailed interior decoration featuring gilded figures and painted ceilings.
All 2026 1 oz Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each coin ships in a protective flip, while larger quantities come in plastic tubes of 20 coins or in Monster Boxes of 500 coins. A Monster Box contains 25 tubes, each holding 20 coins, for simple storage and transport.
On the obverse of the 2026 Austrian Silver Philharmonic, you’ll see the Great Pipe Organ within the Musikverein. The organ was originally built by Friedrich Ladegast in 1872 and has been updated over the years by later craftsmen, keeping the instrument in regular performance use.
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Philharmonic includes a group of instruments tied to the Vienna Philharmonic. The design centers on a cello with four violins, with a bassoon, harp, and Vienna horn in the background to complete the arrangement.
