2026 is a milestone year for the American Silver Eagle bullion series from the United States Mint. First released in 1986, the program has long offered investors a trusted 1 oz .999 fine silver coin. Now, with the 40th anniversary arriving in 2026, the Silver Eagle remains one of the most recognized silver bullion coins in the world. Right now, 2026 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition are available from BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Arrives in a protective plastic slab!
  • 40th anniversary of the American Silver Eagle!
  • Limited availability of certified coins!
  • Contains 1 troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Bears a face value of $1 (USD) backed by the federal government.
  • Issued a Grade of Mint State 69 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
  • Early Release specimen.
  • The obverse features Walking Liberty.
  • On the reverse is an American bald eagle.

Each 2026 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coin available here is housed in a protective slab and has been graded MS69. Coins with this grade show full, original mint luster and only minimal imperfections. Any small marks or hairlines are minor, limited in number, and located away from the main focal areas of the design. The Early Release label means the coin was received by the grading service within 30 days of the mint’s official release.

The United States Mint launched the American Silver Eagle series in 1986 after the Liberty Coin Act was passed. This law approved the creation of official U.S. silver bullion coins containing one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver. Since its debut, the Silver Eagle has served as the nation’s primary silver bullion coin and continues to be a popular option for both collectors and investors. Its obverse uses Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty design, first seen on half dollars struck from 1916 to 1947.

The obverse of the 2026 American Silver Eagle displays Weinman’s well-known Walking Liberty. Shown in left-profile relief, Liberty strides toward the rising sun with the American flag flowing around her shoulders. Her right arm reaches forward, while her left hand holds branches of oak and laurel, symbolizing strength and peace.

On the reverse of 2026 1 oz Silver Eagles, you’ll find the current American bald eagle design. Created by Emily Damstra in 2020 and introduced in 2021, this updated image shows the eagle descending in flight with outstretched wings and an oak branch held firmly in its talons.
