Each 2025-S 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coin is sealed in a plastic capsule and presented in a US Mint box. It also comes in a Walking Liberty-themed shipper with a Certificate of Authenticity. The proof coins have frosted designs paired with mirror-like fields. The San Francisco Mint will release only 110,000 coins in this individual packaging style.

The San Francisco Mint was founded in 1854 after the California Gold Rush brought an enormous amount of gold to the West Coast. At the time, shipping gold across the country to existing mints was risky and expensive. To solve this problem, Congress authorized a mint in San Francisco in 1852, and construction began two years later at the intersection of Commercial and Montgomery Streets.

The obverse of the 2025-S Proof American Silver Eagle features the classic Walking Liberty design. Created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, this design shows Liberty striding toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag, with her right hand extended forward.

The reverse of the 2025-S 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coin depicts the American bald eagle in flight. Designed by Emily Damstra, this image shows the eagle with its wings lifted and talons gripping an oak branch. This artwork was first introduced to the series in 2021.
