The Morgan and Peace Dollars were issued once more to honor the 100th anniversary of the Morgan Dollar’s final year and the Peace Dollar’s debut. The 1918 Pittman Act authorized the melting of up to 350 million silver dollars to help supply silver to Great Britain during World War I. This decision created a major drop in the nation’s silver dollar reserves. To restore the circulating silver dollar supply, the Act required the US Treasury to purchase silver from domestic sources and use it to mint new dollars, giving rise to the Peace Dollar in 1921.

These 2025 Peace Silver Dollars are certified as Mint State 69, meaning they are in nearly perfect shape. Coins with this grade still have their original mint luster and show no more than two small flaws, such as faint contact marks or light hairlines, none of which are in prominent areas. The Early Release label indicates the coins were graded within 30 days of the mint’s official release.

On the obverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar, you’ll find a left-profile portrait of Liberty. Her hair is gathered in a loose bun, with a few strands flowing freely across her cheek. She wears a radiant crown, symbolizing light and peace.

The reverse of the 2025 Peace Silver Dollar features an American bald eagle sitting on a rock. Its wings are tucked close to its body as it looks into the distance. Behind the eagle, the sun rises, sending rays across the scene.
