Established on November 10, 1775, by a resolution of the Second Continental Congress, the United States Marine Corps began with two battalions of Continental Marines serving alongside the Continental Navy during the American Revolution. The US Mint continues its Armed Forces Privy Series with a Proof American Silver Eagle featuring the Marine Corps’ Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignia. Today, 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition are available from BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
During the Vietnam War, Marines carried out widespread counterinsurgency efforts, defended Khe Sanh during the 77-day siege in 1968, engaged in hard urban fighting in the Tet Offensive, and conducted village pacification and search-and-destroy missions across the northern provinces. These operations pushed the Corps to adapt classic amphibious and conventional skills to the realities of jungle guerrilla warfare.
All 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagles arrive in perfect condition inside plastic slabs. PF70 coins display full, original mint luster with no visible flaws. UCAM pieces show strong, frosted design elements over deeply mirrored fields for high contrast. Advanced Release coins are those submitted for grading before the Mint’s public release window.
The obverse of the 2025-P Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagles uses Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 Walking Liberty design. This side also includes the Marine Corps privy, showing the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem used since 1868. The eagle represents the nation, the globe signals worldwide readiness, and the fouled anchor highlights the Corps’ naval roots and lasting connection to the US Navy.
On the reverse of the 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy Silver Eagle Coin is Emily Damstra’s modern bald eagle design, created in 2020. The eagle is shown in flight grasping an oak branch, a motif introduced to the Silver Eagle series in mid-2021.
