On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress created the United States Marine Corps, ordering two battalions of Continental Marines to serve with the Continental Navy in the Revolutionary War. The US Mint honors this storied branch in its Armed Forces Privy Series with a Proof American Silver Eagle bearing the Marine Corps’ Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. Today, certified 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle Coins are available at BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
The Marine Corps grew rapidly during World War I. Marines of the 4th Marine Brigade served with the U.S. Army’s 2nd Division in several major campaigns. At Belleau Wood in June 1918, they fought a hard three-week battle that became a defining moment in Marine Corps history—often cited as the origin of the “Devil Dogs” nickname—and they continued to serve with distinction at Soissons, Saint-Mihiel, and during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.
Each 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle in this listing arrives in a plastic slab with a PF69 grade. These near-perfect coins display full, original mint luster and no more than two small imperfections. The UCAM (ultra-cameo) designation notes strong, frosted devices against deeply mirrored fields. Early Release means the coins were submitted for grading within 30 days of the mint’s release.
The obverse of the 2025-P Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle showcases Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty design from 1916. Alongside Liberty, you’ll find the Marine Corps privy mark with the eagle, globe, and fouled anchor—an emblem adopted in 1868 that reflects national service, global reach, and ties to the Navy.
The reverse of the 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy Silver Eagle Coins features Emily Damstra’s updated bald eagle design. Introduced in 2020 and added to the Silver Eagle series in mid-2021, it shows the eagle in flight carrying an oak branch.
