Each 2025 1 oz Reverse Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coin is housed in a clear plastic capsule for protection. These coins are struck using a reverse proof technique, which is different from the traditional proof style. In this version, the main images on the coin appear with a shiny, reflective finish, while the background has a softer, frosted texture.

Reverse Proof Libertads have been produced in low numbers each year since their debut. When the series first launched in 2015, the 1 oz coin had a limited run of just 1,500 coins. As the series continued, mintage levels shifted slightly, but from 2019 to 2022, the 1 oz, 2 oz, and 5 oz sizes were each limited to 1,000 coins per year.

The obverse side of the 2025 Reverse Proof Silver Libertad displays the Mexican national coat of arms. At the center of the design, an eagle is shown holding a snake in its beak and talon while standing on a cactus. Around this modern seal are ten earlier versions of the emblem, representing Mexico’s history.

The reverse side of the coin features Winged Victory, a historic figure from Mexican culture. She is shown in a three-quarter view holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and a broken chain in her left, symbolizing freedom and triumph.
