During the 2021 release, the US Mint produced Morgan Silver Dollars with several different mint marks and privy marks. The privy marks were used to recognize historic branch mints that once struck Morgan Dollars but are no longer in operation. Because these coins are selected at random once payment is confirmed, we cannot guarantee which mint or privy mark will be included with your order.

The 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar series included five different versions in total. Three of these were issued by the Philadelphia Mint. These include a standard Brilliant Uncirculated coin without a mint mark, along with coins featuring a CC privy mark honoring the Carson City Mint and an O privy mark honoring the New Orleans Mint. The remaining two versions were produced at the San Francisco Mint with an S mint mark and at the Denver Mint with a D mint mark.

The obverse of the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar features the classic left-facing portrait of Liberty. Designed by George T. Morgan for the original 1878 release, Liberty is shown wearing a Phrygian cap with a coronet across her head. Her hair is partially gathered beneath the cap and decorated with a laurel wreath.

On the reverse of the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar is the heraldic eagle of the United States. The bald eagle is shown facing forward with its wings extended while holding arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. These symbols represent the nation’s readiness for both defense and peace, and this side of the coin also displays the appropriate mint mark or privy mark.
