Sunshine Minting is one of America’s most respected private mints, founded and operating in Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, and with production facilities elsewhere in Idaho and Nevada. This Morgan Silver Round ships in a plastic flip-top container, or can be purchased in a lot of twenty in a mint tube. It features a MintMark SI micro-engraving, visible only using a Sunshine Decoder Lens, to discourage counterfeiting.
The obverse field features an effigy of Lady Liberty in a Phrygian cap, as originally designed by George T. Morgan. The reverse features a heraldic bald eagle with wings outstretched and with arrows and an olive branch clutched in its talons. Inscriptions on each field reproduce those on the original Morgan dollar, with the exception of a face value and date of issue.
