Product Details

SilverTowne is well known for striking quality silver rounds, often featuring classic designs inspired by historic US coinage. One of the most popular is the Incuse Indian design created in 1908 by Bela Lyon Pratt. This unique design has been replicated on several SilverTowne rounds over the years, and today the 1/2 oz SilverTowne Incuse Indian Silver Rounds are available for purchase at BullionMax.

Round Highlights:

  • Comes with plastic flips, tubes of 20 rounds, or boxes of 500 rounds!
  • Replicates the beloved Incuse Indian design!
  • Contains 1/2 troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Obverse depicts an indigenous tribal figure.
  • Reverse features an American bald eagle.

Bela Lyon Pratt originally created the Incuse Indian design for the quarter eagle and half eagle gold coins struck from 1908 to 1929. The design quickly became one of the most recognizable of its era due to its unusual appearance. Instead of having raised design elements like most coins, Pratt used an incuse format where the main imagery is pressed down into the surface. This different approach stood out immediately and sparked debate among collectors and everyday Americans at the time.

All 1/2 oz SilverTowne Incuse Indian Silver Rounds offered here are shipped in protective plastic flips. Customers purchasing multiple rounds can choose tubes holding 20 rounds each or bulk boxes containing 500 total rounds. Each box holds 25 tubes of 20 rounds.

The obverse of the SilverTowne Incuse Indian Silver Round features a faithful recreation of Pratt’s original artwork. It displays a left-facing portrait of a Native American man wearing a detailed feathered headdress. The portrait is struck in the incuse style, meaning the image is recessed into the silver surface. Along the upper rim is the inscription “LIBERTY,” while 13 stars circle the design to represent the original colonies.

On the reverse of the 1/2 oz Incuse Indian Silver Round is Pratt’s depiction of the American bald eagle. The eagle is shown standing with folded wings and faces left while resting on a bundle of arrows alongside an olive branch. Like the obverse, this design is also struck in a sunken-relief format. The phrases “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” appear on either side of the eagle.
