Product Details

The Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf holds a special place in the world of platinum bullion coins. First introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988, this coin arrived the same year as the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. Sharing the same familiar designs as the rest of the Maple Leaf Series, the Platinum Maple Leaf has become a popular choice for collectors and investors. Today, you can find 2010 1 oz Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf Coins available at BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Arrives in a protective plastic flip!
  • 15th release of Canadian Platinum Maple Leafs!
  • Contains 1 troy oz of .9995 pure platinum.
  • Holds a face value of $100 (CAD) backed by Canada’s federal government.
  • Obverse side features Queen Elizabeth II.
  • Reverse showcases the sugar maple leaf.

Every 2010 1 oz Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf Coin ships in a protective plastic flip to keep it safe. When the Platinum Maple Leaf series debuted in 1988, the Royal Canadian Mint offered both 1 oz and fractional-ounce coins. This continued until 1999, followed by a single issue in 2002. Starting in 2009, the series returned with only the 1 oz option offered each year.

The Royal Canadian Mint has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality platinum bullion. Much of the platinum used in these coins comes from Canadian mines in Ontario and Saskatchewan. The Mint produces a wide range of platinum coins and bars for both domestic and international markets, always maintaining high purity standards and adding innovative security features.

On the obverse of the 2010 Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf, you’ll see Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait is the fourth-generation design by artist Susanna Blunt, created in 2003. It shows the Queen in right-profile relief, notably without a crown.

The reverse side of the 2010 1 oz Platinum Maple Leaf features the iconic sugar maple leaf. This design, created in 1979 by Walter Ott, has become a symbol of Canada’s national pride and is shown here in a realistic style.
