On the obverse of the 5 Utah Goldback Gold Note is an image of a Mormon woman reading near the Salt Lake City Temple. The temple is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the history of the Latter-day Saint faith. Located in the center of Temple Square, the building is known for its six granite spires and reflects decades of dedication by early settlers who spent 40 years constructing it with granite from Little Cottonwood Canyon.

The reverse of the 5 Utah Goldback Gold Note displays a faint mirrored image of the obverse design. Like other Goldback notes, it also includes advanced security features, including UV-reactive elements that help confirm authenticity while adding another level of visual detail.
