Created as a new way to spend and store gold, Goldbacks feature real 24-karat gold in each note. These notes have value not just for their gold content but also for their artistic appeal. The latest release in the series is the 2025 Oklahoma edition, offering a new collection of designs that reflect the state’s unique history and heritage. Today, BullionMax offers 25 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes for sale online.
Note Highlights:
The 25 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note shows a woman perched on the hood of a vintage 1950s car parked along Route 66 in Oklahoma. The Sooner State is home to about 400 miles of the iconic highway—more than any other state. When Route 66 was established in 1926, Oklahoma played a key role in making it known as the “Mother Road,” especially during hard times like the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, as seen in John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath.
Over time, this historic highway helped boost the economies of small Oklahoma towns like Elk City, Clinton, and Catoosa. It gave rise to a range of roadside attractions, motels, and diners that shaped the culture of American travel. While most of the route was replaced by I-40 in the 1970s, many parts have been preserved and now attract visitors with a love for road trip nostalgia.
Each 25 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note offered here at BullionMax comes with a protective sleeve. The use of 24-karat gold makes them stand out, and their detailed designs add collectible interest. Although not legal tender, Goldbacks may be accepted by vendors on a voluntary basis. Starting in 2025, the notes now feature a UV security element on the reverse side for added protection.
