Each 2026 1/4 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Sheet includes 20 coins in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These are only available as a bulk listing, with no single coins offered separately. Altogether, the sheet provides five troy ounces of 24-karat gold.
In the natural world, sugar maple leaves change their look throughout the seasons. They first appear bright green in spring and early summer, a color caused by the strong presence of chlorophyll. This green shade continues into the summer as the leaves fuel the tree’s growth through photosynthesis.
The obverse of the 2026 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf debuts the first Canadian coin design featuring King Charles III. Artist Steven Rosati created the left-profile portrait of the King, shown without a crown. This is only the third time in history that a Canadian artist has designed a royal effigy for Canadian coinage.
The reverse of the 2026 1/4 oz Gold Maple Leaf carries Walter Ott’s familiar sugar maple leaf design. First seen on the original 1979 release, this design has remained the signature image of the Maple Leaf collection and is used across gold, silver, platinum, and palladium versions.
