Each 2025 1 oz Niue Gold Lady Justice Coin arrives in its own protective capsule. This year’s release marks the first time the series has switched from Gibraltar to Niue, with the Niuean coat of arms now shown on the reverse side. Other than this change, the main design details remain the same.

The image of Lady Justice goes back to ancient mythology. She began as the Greek goddess Themis, who represented order and law, and later Dike, the goddess of human justice. The Romans adapted her as Justitia, shaping the figure we recognize today. These early depictions symbolized the belief that justice was a universal principle guiding both gods and people.

On the obverse of the 2025 Niue Gold Lady Justice Coin, you will see Lady Justice in front-facing relief. She wears a blindfold, holds a sword in her right hand, and balances scales in her left, continuing the series’ traditional design.

The reverse of the 2025 1 oz Niue Gold Lady Justice Coin displays the Niuean coat of arms, also called the Public Seal of Niue. This design includes native island plants surrounded by a ring of seashells. A Sovereign crown sits above the seal, representing Niue’s link to the Commonwealth.
