Each 2018 1/4 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coin is packaged in its own protective capsule. On the reverse of the coin is the Winged Victory design. The artwork is inspired by the statue that sits atop the Victory Column in Mexico City. Based on classical images of the goddess Nike, Winged Victory is shown as a winged woman holding a laurel crown in one hand and broken chains in the other.
