Product Details

North American bullion coins remain some of the most widely collected silver products in the world. Alongside the American Silver Eagle, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf stands out as one of the best-known sovereign bullion coins available today. Produced with .9999 pure silver each year, the Silver Maple Leaf has been a favorite among investors and collectors for decades. Right now, BullionMax offers Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins in cull condition from random years of issue.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship in plastic flips!
  • Available annually since 1988!
  • Contains 1 oz of .9999 pure silver.
  • Issued a face value of $5 (CAD) by the federal government in Canada.
  • Features the sugar maple leaf on the reverse.
  • Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles III portrait on the obverse.
  • Coins are in cull condition with cosmetic flaws and/or structural defects.
  • Please note the coins come from random years of issue and you may receive matching dates if you buy more than one.

The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf debuted in 1988, following the earlier success of the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf series. Since its introduction, the silver version has used the same core design elements found on the gold coins. The reverse has always displayed the iconic maple leaf, while the obverse portrait changes based on the reigning monarch. Coins issued from 1988 through 2023 feature Queen Elizabeth II, while coins dated 2024 and later display King Charles III.

With this listing, you will receive a Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin from a random year based on available inventory at the time your order is processed. Please note that these are cull coins. Cull-condition coins may include noticeable wear or damage such as scratches, dents, bends, dark spots, holes, or other imperfections. Specific flaws will vary from coin to coin, and there is no guarantee regarding the exact date or design variation you will receive.

The obverse of the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf includes a portrait of the reigning British monarch at the time of issue. Coins struck between 1988 and 2023 feature Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief, with several portrait variations used over the years. Beginning in 2024, the Royal Canadian Mint introduced the first portrait of King Charles III, shown in left-profile relief without a crown.

On the reverse side of the coin is the well-known sugar maple leaf design. Along with the maple leaf image, the reverse also includes inscriptions noting the nation of issue, the coin’s weight, metal content, and purity. The obverse carries the portrait designs referenced above.
