The Peace Dollar resumed production in 1934 and 1935 after the Silver Purchase Act of 1934 directed the Treasury to expand its silver reserves. That increased need for silver coinage led to the return of Peace Dollar production at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints for two additional years. These final circulation-era issues feature slight die changes and remain closely connected to the economic challenges and history of the Great Depression.

All 2026-P Reverse Proof Peace Silver Dollar Coins available here have earned a perfect PR70 certification. A PR70 grade indicates a coin with full, original mint quality and no post-production imperfections. DCAM, or Deep Cameo, identifies coins with frosted design details that stand out against highly reflective mirrored fields. The First Strike designation is awarded to coins delivered to PCGS for grading within 30 days of their official release by the United States Mint.

The obverse of the 2026-P Reverse Proof Peace Dollar features Anthony de Francisci’s famous image of Liberty facing left. Her calm, confident expression is paired with a crown of radiant light that frames her portrait. The design reflects the optimism and desire for lasting peace that inspired the original Peace Dollar following the end of World War I.

On the reverse of the 2026-P Reverse Proof Peace Silver Dollar, Anthony de Francisci depicts a bald eagle standing on a rugged mountaintop while overlooking the landscape below. Behind the eagle, the rising sun sends rays across the horizon, while an olive branch and the inscription PEACE appear beneath the bird, reinforcing the coin’s long-standing themes of peace, unity, and national renewal.
