The Morgan Dollar made its return in 1921 as a result of the Pittman Act of 1918. That legislation authorized the melting of millions of silver dollars to supply silver bullion to Great Britain during World War I and required those coins to be replaced with newly struck Morgan Dollars using the original designs. The 1921 coins produced in Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco feature subtle differences from earlier Morgan Dollars because updated hubs were used to prepare the dies.

Each 2026-P Reverse Proof Morgan Silver Dollar Coin offered here has earned a perfect PR70 grade from PCGS. A PR70 grade indicates a flawless coin with full original mint quality and no visible imperfections. The Deep Cameo designation recognizes the strong contrast between frosted design elements and highly reflective fields. The First Day of Issue label confirms the coins were delivered to PCGS for certification within the first 24 hours following the United States Mint’s official release.

The obverse of the 2026-P Reverse Proof Morgan Dollar features George T. Morgan’s classic portrait of Liberty facing left. Morgan based Liberty’s appearance on Philadelphia schoolteacher Anna Willess Williams, whose refined features inspired his vision of an American Liberty. She is shown wearing a Phrygian cap and coronet in one of the most recognizable designs in United States coinage.

On the reverse of the 2026-P Reverse Proof Morgan Silver Dollar, the traditional heraldic eagle is shown with its wings spread wide while grasping arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Detailed feather work, balanced proportions, and the eagle’s confident stance give the design lasting appeal and highlight the craftsmanship that has made this reverse a favorite among collectors for generations.
