Germania Mint marks the 250th anniversary of America’s founding with a three-coin series that highlights Philadelphia’s role in the nation’s early history. Each coin in this collection features a modified American Silver Eagle with a colorized obverse showcasing moments tied to the founding of the United States. Today, 2026 1 oz Colorized American Independence Edition Silver Eagle Coins are available from BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
Each 2026 1 oz Colorized American Independence Edition Silver Eagle Coin is packaged in a Quadrum capsule and comes with a themed outer sleeve. The obverse includes colorized details that depict delegates signing the Declaration of Independence. In addition, the coin’s surface features an antique finish that gives it a slightly aged appearance.
Philadelphia played a central role during the American Revolution and is often recognized as the birthplace of the United States. As one of the largest cities in the colonies, it became a key meeting place for leaders working toward independence. Both the First and Second Continental Congresses were held there, making it the location where important discussions and decisions helped shape a new nation.
The obverse of the 2026 Colorized American Independence Edition Silver Eagles includes a colorized scene of delegates gathered around a table as they review and sign the Declaration of Independence. On August 2, 1776, many members of the Second Continental Congress met at the Pennsylvania State House, now known as Independence Hall, to sign the document. Although it had been approved on July 4, the signing marked a significant step in formalizing independence. Thomas Jefferson led the drafting of the Declaration, which reflected ideas about liberty and self-rule.
On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Colorized American Independence Edition Silver Eagle, you will find the American bald eagle. This design was created by Emily Damstra and introduced by the United States Mint in 2021 as part of the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Series.
