The 2026 Treasured Maple Leaf Series from the Royal Canadian Mint returns with a fresh set of reverse privy marks. Each coin keeps the classic Canadian Maple Leaf look, pairing King Charles III’s portrait on the obverse with the sugar maple leaf on the reverse. What makes Treasured Maple Leaf releases different are the special privy designs and their limited mintages. Right now, 2026 1 oz Canadian Silver Treasured Maple Leaf Celebration Privy Coins are available from BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
This Treasured Maple Leaf release carries a Celebration Privy mark showing several balloons inside a small circular privy. Balloons like we recognize today trace back to the 1800s, after Michael Faraday’s rubber experiments in 1824 and later improvements through the vulcanization process developed by Charles Goodyear in 1839. Early balloons were mostly novelty items. Over time, especially by the early 1900s, they became common at children’s parties and public events, turning into the bright, fun symbols of celebration we still associate with special occasions.
All 2026 1 oz Canadian Silver Treasured Maple Leaf Celebration Privy Coins come sealed in assay card packaging from the Royal Canadian Mint. The card features a themed Treasured Maple Leaf design and includes a QR code. Scanning it takes you to a site with added details and background on bullion coin programs.
On the obverse of the 2026 Canadian Silver Treasured Maple Leaf Celebration Privy Coin is the first-generation effigy of King Charles III. Created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, this portrait is only the second Canadian monarch design in history to be made by a Canadian designer. The left-profile image shows His Majesty without a crown.
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Treasured Maple Leaf Celebration Privy Coin showcases the well-known sugar maple leaf design. First introduced to the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series in 1979, Walter Ott’s artwork presents a single natural maple leaf with sharp, realistic detail. The small Celebration Privy appears to the left of the leaf’s stem.
