The United States Marine Corps traces its origins to November 10, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress authorized two battalions of Continental Marines to support the Continental Navy during the American Revolution. To honor that history, the US Mint’s Armed Forces Privy Series includes a Proof American Silver Eagle featuring the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem of the Marine Corps. Today, you can find 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition here at BullionMax.
Coin Highlights:
Marines served at sea and ashore in the War of 1812, including aboard USS Constitution during its victories over HMS Guerriere and HMS Java, where Marine marksmen in the rigging made a difference. On land, Marines helped defend Washington, D.C., fought at the Battle of Bladensburg, and supported Andrew Jackson’s forces in the defense of New Orleans in January 1815.
Each 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle offered here arrives in a slab and carries a PR69 grade. These near-perfect coins retain full original luster and show at most two minor imperfections. “DCAM” (deep-cameo) refers to strong, frosted design elements with deeply mirrored fields. First Strike coins are those received by the grading service within 30 days of the mint’s release.
The obverse of the 2025-P Proof Marine Corps Privy American Silver Eagle presents Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 Walking Liberty. This side also includes the Marine Corps privy mark—an eagle, globe, and fouled anchor—symbolizing national service, worldwide readiness, and the Corps’ naval roots with the US Navy since its adoption in 1868.
The reverse of the 2025-P 1 oz Proof Marine Corps Privy Silver Eagle features Emily Damstra’s modern bald eagle in flight, introduced in 2020 and used on the Silver Eagle series since mid-2021. The eagle carries an oak branch in its talons, a simple nod to strength and endurance.
