Product Details

Morgan Silver Dollars struck at the Carson City Mint are closely tied to the silver mining history of Nevada’s Comstock Lode. The mint operated from 1870 to 1893 and was built to refine and coin silver from the region’s rich ore deposits. Coins from this facility carry the well-known “CC” mint mark, which continues to draw strong interest from collectors today. Right now, 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollars are available at BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Comes with a protective plastic slab!
  • 5th coin in the Morgan Dollar Series!
  • Final mintage of 1,113,000 coins!
  • Issued by the Carson City Mint!
  • Contains .7734 troy oz of actual silver content.

  • Graded Very Fine 25 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC).
  • On the obverse is a bust of Liberty.
  • The reverse features the heraldic eagle.
  • Bears a CC mint mark from the Carson City Mint.

The 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollar is considered one of the more obtainable Carson City issues. With a reported mintage of 1,133,000 coins, it had a higher production total than many other CC releases. Even so, it remains an important piece for those building a complete Morgan Dollar set, especially collectors focused on securing coins with the historic Carson City mint mark.

All 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coins offered here are certified in VF25 condition. This grade sits in the middle of the Very Fine range (20-35). Coins at this level show moderate, even wear across the surface, but most major design features remain clear and well defined. It is a solid collector grade that balances detail and affordability.

On the obverse of the 1882-CC Morgan Dollar Coin is George T. Morgan’s portrait of Lady Liberty. She is shown in left-profile relief wearing a Phrygian cap, a coronet inscribed with “Liberty,” and a wreath. Thirteen stars line the outer field, and the date is displayed at the bottom of the design.

The reverse of the 1882-CC Morgan Silver Dollar also features artwork by George T. Morgan. It shows a front-facing bald eagle with its wings spread wide. The eagle holds arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, representing both strength and peace.
