Product Details

Introduced in 1979, the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin is one of the world’s longest-running gold bullion coins. By 2014, the series featured six different weights, including the 1/20 oz coin. First launched in 1993, the 2013 release represents the 20th year for the 1/20 oz Gold Maple Leaf. Now, you can find 2013 1/20 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins available from BullionMax.

Coin Highlights:

  • Comes with a protective plastic flip!
  • 20th release of 1/20 oz Gold Maple Leafs!
  • Contains 1/20 troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • The face value of $1 (CAD) is fully backed by the Canadian government.
  • On the obverse is Queen Elizabeth II.
  • The reverse features the sugar maple leaf.

The maple leaf has long been a symbol of Canada. Since 1965, it has appeared on the national flag, representing unity, cultural diversity, and the country’s natural beauty. Over the years, it has grown into a symbol recognized around the globe, reflecting Canada’s heritage and peaceful spirit.

Each 2013 1/20 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin arrives in a protective plastic flip. The 1/20 oz option became part of the Gold Maple Leaf series in 1993, following the release of the 1 oz coin in 1979, the 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz coins in 1982, and the 1/2 oz coin in 1986.

On the obverse of the 2013 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf, you’ll see Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile portrait was created by Susanna Blunt and is the longest-running design of Her Majesty on Canadian coins. Notably, she is shown without a crown in this depiction, a design used for nearly two decades.

The reverse side of the 2013 1/20 oz Gold Maple Leaf features the famous sugar maple leaf. This image was designed by Walter Ott in 1979 and has been the central design on all Gold Maple Leaf coins since the series first began.
