Each 2025-S Proof Morgan Silver Dollar is produced as a proof specimen, featuring frosted design elements and mirror-like background fields. The coin is housed in a protective capsule, then placed in a blue US Mint box. Each comes with a Morgan Dollar-themed shipper and an official Certificate of Authenticity.

The San Francisco Mint was a major contributor to the Morgan Dollar’s history between 1878 and 1904. Its role was especially important because of its proximity to silver mined from the Comstock Lode and other Western sources. On the obverse of the 2025-S Proof Morgan Dollar, you’ll find George T. Morgan’s portrait of Lady Liberty. The design shows Liberty facing left, wearing a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a crown inscribed with “Liberty.” Surrounding her portrait are 13 stars, and the date appears at the bottom of the design.

The reverse of the 2025-S Proof Morgan Silver Dollar displays Morgan’s heraldic eagle. This version of the eagle is shown with its wings raised in a defensive posture, clutching arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other.
