George T. Morgan was the 7th Chief Engraver at the US Mint, taking the role in 1917 and serving until 1925. He followed Charles E. Barber and was responsible for coin designs and managing the engraving process during a time that included World War I. His work balanced beauty with efficiency during a time of metal conservation.

The 2025 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins offered here are graded a perfect Mint State 70. These coins show no marks or imperfections and retain their original luster. Each coin also comes labeled as a First Day of Issue, meaning it was submitted for grading within a day of the Mint’s release.

The obverse side of the coin shows Liberty in profile, a design by George T. Morgan. She’s wearing a Phrygian cap along with a laurel wreath and coronet. Her portrait is surrounded by 13 stars, representing the original colonies.

The reverse features a bald eagle in a strong, forward-facing pose. The eagle’s wings are spread wide. One talon holds arrows to represent strength, and the other grasps an olive branch to represent peace—both classic symbols from Morgan’s original artwork.
